Nobody Talks About How Hard It Is to Get Freelance Jobs in Nigeria

Nobody really talks about how hard it is to get a freelance job in Nigeria. Even if you have all the skills, it feels like the system is against you.

Sometimes I feel like no one even wants to give me a chance. Even right now, as I am writing this blog, I still do not have a client. I have sent dozens of applications.

I have stayed up late writing proposals. I have tried everything I know. And still, nothing. It hurts. It makes you feel small. But what can we do? We keep going. We keep applying. If freelancers in other countries put in effort one hundred, we have to put in effort five hundred. We have to work twice as hard just to get noticed.

It is not fair. It is frustrating. Some days I want to give up. Some days I cry because it feels impossible.

But we cannot stop. Every small step, every message we send, every project we complete matters. One day, all this struggle will turn into something real.

If you are reading this and you feel the same, you are not alone. Keep going. Keep fighting. Keep trying. We will get there, even if it takes longer than everyone else.
